Small decorations to celebrate the winter season



Cross stitched Christmas baubles The models shown are:
(4 mini-models per file)

- Winter fruits.
- Snow fall.
- Winter !
- Sweet snow flakes.

SUPPLIES TO CARRY OUT FOUR DECORATIONS:

- 16" of red satin binding - width 1/4".
- 52" of cotton binding (shape of wave) 1/4" (7 mm exactly).
- 8" x 16" white linen.
- 4" x 16" of felt.
- red skeins.

PREPARATION:

- Cut 8" x 8" piece of linen.
- Draw a mark with a pencil to divide the piece of linen in 4 squares of 4" x 4".
- Draw the center in each piece.
- Turn over the canvas and cross stitch the motifs.

ASSEMBLY:

Cut the embroided linen disc - Draw on the back of each embroidery a circle of 3.7" od diameter.
- Cut the 4 embroidered linen discs.
- Cut 4 discs in the remaining linen.
- Cut 4 discs of felt of 3.4" diameter.
- Cut 4 pieces of binding about 4" long.

binding fixed ith pins on linen disc - Put a mark int the top of the embroidered disc with a pin.
- Place a white linen disc on top of a embroidered one with the embroidery facing inside.
- Insert the cotton binding between the 2 discs.

pin the assembly discs - Allow 0.4" in each side of the binding, on top of the assembly.
- Pin together and stitch at 3/16" of the border. Don't forget to let open about 2" on top


 
stitch the cross stitched xmas bauble - Stitch both disks.
turn inside out the cross stitched xmas bauble - Turn inside out the assembly and insert the felt.

stitch the top of the cross stitched xmas bauble - Cross the binding surplus inside.

finish by closing the assembly of the cross stitched xmas bauble - Stitch to close the assembly by positioning the end of the satin binding on top of the cotton binding.

hang the the cross stitched xmas bauble and decorate your home - Et voilà, just suspend it to embellish your home!
